Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1-2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and minced
  • 1-2 limes, juiced
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions:

Preparing the Ingredients

  1. Dice the Tomatoes: Start by washing and drying the tomatoes. Cut them in half and remove the seeds. Dice the tomatoes into small, uniform pieces and transfer them to a mixing bowl.
  2. Chop the Onion: Peel the onion and finely chop it. Add the chopped onion to the bowl with the diced tomatoes.
  3. Prepare the Cilantro: Rinse the cilantro under cold water and shake off any excess moisture. Remove the stems and chop the cilantro leaves finely. Add them to the bowl with the tomatoes and onions.
  4. Mince the Jalapeño Peppers: Depending on your preference for heat, seed and mince 1-2 jalapeño peppers. Add them to the bowl with the other ingredients.
