Fully cooked bone-in ham, weighing 6-8 pounds
1/4 cup of Dijon mustard 1/2 cup of honey
Quarter cup of brown sugar
2 teaspoons of vinegar made from apple cider
25% of a teaspoon of crushed cloves
Half a teaspoon of black pepper, ground
How to Follow
First, put the ham on low heat.
2. Combine the honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, and black pepper in a small bowl.
Third, coat the ham evenly with the honey mustard mixture.
4. Simmer, covered, for four to six hours, basting once in a while with the cooking liquid.
5. Take the ham out of the slow cooker after it’s cooked and soft, and let it aside to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
6. Drizzle the slow cooker liquids over the ham pieces before serving.
Tips and Variations
To change things up, instead of ham, you may put pineapple pieces on top and then drizzle the honey mustard sauce over it. Add more honey or less mustard to modify the sweetness for finicky eaters in your household. If you’re looking to add some heat, consider using spicy brown mustard or another kind of mustard. And if you’re a fan of a little smoky flavor in your ham, try incorporating some liquid smoke into the glaze.
